ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES OF LARGE FARMERS
- Completing the annual Self-Assessment Questionnaire of BCI.
- Producing by the Core Indicators set by farm categories in the Better Cotton Principles and Criteria, and participating in the evaluations held by the 3. party independent auditors who have been approved by BCI for the verification of this accordance.
- Planning and implementing Corrective Actions when impropriety is detected.
- Keeping records of data on inputs and outputs at the farm level, reporting these records to the BCI annually as Result Indicators Report.
- Developing a Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) and implementing it.
- Keeping the harvested Better Cotton physically separate from conventional (Traditional, other) cotton at all stages of harvesting, storage, transportation and sales.
- Keeping the License Number provided to them safe and sharing it only with the ginners they sell.
- Keeping and storing the registries/documents of Better Cotton sales.
